Second Chance - My Take on Love

Love?

What is love?

Is it what you feel when you are 13 and a guy walks in your classroom and your heart skips a beat? Is it what you feel when you grow a little older and the guy says something that makes your heart skip a beat again? Is it what what you feel when he touches you and your heart yet again skips a beat?

Well if you say Yes, I'm afraid to tell you, Love is far away from all this!

People say that today's generation has really advanced a lot. They get mature at an early age. Well friends, getting mature early means knowing your responsibilities early, standing up to yourself early, taking wise decisions early, learning from the mistakes you make early. It by no way means falling in love early.

When I watch my grandparents spend their retirement in each others company and smile at each other, that is Love.

When I watch my Mom hear my Dad out in his tough times and make him feel better, that is Love.

Guys, love is sacrifice, devotion, dedication, inclination, care for one person!

Do you think we can do all of that in our teenage? Love requires attention. Are we old enough to give it attention leaving our own likes, dreams, aspirations?

Whatever you wanna answer, your heart will always say No!

What I intend to bring to you is not that don't fall in love in your teenage, but don't let this feeling crush you when it gets bad!

Coz there are very few cases where this puppy love might continue and when you are well established make you realize its depth and true meaning.

Otherwise, its nothing but attraction, lust and a change of hormones! Its totally not okay to get hurt, cry or harm your heart and yourself, when it doesn't work out. Coz we are yet to know the true meaning of love, and it comes with age!

Love has no age but our mind and heart do have a age.

When we have friends and best friends who care for us till their death, parents for whom we are the apple of their eye, siblings to fight with and even cry with! Why do we need love? Isn't their love enough?

And even if we "think" we have fallen in love, why to let it affect us when the guy or girl breaks it up? How can we forget about all those people who love us unconditionally.

And we got out whole lives ahead.

Love can't be found on finding, it comes to you when you least expect it to!

By writing all this, I do not mean to offend anyone. These are just my views. You can happily comment on them.

I have written this coz I want to share it with everyone that life is much more than feelings. Sometimes, we just overlook the love of our friends and family. I did too. But when I paid attention, I realised that I was the luckiest person on earth!

So, my message would be, "Do things in life which make you happy, live for yourself and care for the people who deserve it. Live in the moment. Smile and spread the smile. Crushing on someone is fine too, but don't let anyone control your heart but yourself! Its your life and no one can come, hurt you, and get away with it! Prove em wrong. Stay strong! Love can wait but your aspirations and career can't"

Peace out!

With love and from the heart,

Purva <3

Second Chance - Moving On

Moving on never means leaving your past behind. Moving on means not being mattered by your past.

Moving on never means forgetting who you are. Moving on means enhancing what you already are.

Moving on never means a new life. Moving on means a better life.

I would like to write a little about myself today. No, I am not a sad person. I am just not too happy at the moment..

Who am I? I am your average teenager who happens to have a brain with intelligence. {it has its sufferings but we will get to that later}

I love dancing. I live to dance. All I need is music, and sometimes not even that, for my hands and legs to start moving. I become oblivious of time and place when I dance. :)

Another thing I love is to tell stories. So I started writing down the stories. My stories are being published by me on Wattpad, an online book community which offers a place to write and publish your stories and poems for free. It thus offers a large database for the book loving readers.

When I decided that I was no longer let my past affect me, I also decided that I won't affect myself.

Yeah, I was by becoming a couch potato. I just sat in a comfortable spot, worked on my iPad, watched TV, and woke up only to use the washroom and eat. No wonder I gained weight. But hey, I came to my senses. :P

Thereby begins my new routine of diet and exercise. A cousin of mine lost 9 kilos in two months by just eating right and light. Even the exercises weren't that exhausting. So hell why not try it out.

I began today. I ate three egg whites for breakfast and then chicken with its skin removed and fried in olive oil with just salt and some pepper for lunch. The only reason I agreed on this diet was because it had chicken. lol. Carbohydrates completely banned. Haww!! No rice, no bread! :O
But the results gonna be a less fatter me right? Then why the hell not! :D

It would be a lie if I say that I hadn't lost my self esteem in the meanwhile. I sure had. But it can be rebuilt right? I don't wanna shed my fat to impress. I wanna do it so that when I look into the mirror, I feel good.

I am a foodie. I loved eating as much as dancing and guess what? I haven't been hungry since lunch! :0 This means that my minds wants this as much as my heart does, the diet I mean. :P

For my exercise, I chose Zumba! It is joyful. What would be better than having a form of dance help me cut down my weight?!

Eating right. Dancing. Writing. Enjoying the same. All these were a part of me moving on.

After all,

Moving on was never this fun.. :)

Second Chance - A New Life

Chase. Life is nothing but a chase. We chase our dreams. We chase our desires. We chase money. We chase comforts. We chase for every basic thing in life. If only we could stop and ask ourselves, Is the chase worth it?

Out of the 17 years and 10 months of my life, the past 10 months have been those where the chase got bad. I chased despite of being handicapped by the injuries from a heartbreak. I chased despite of being let down. I did ask myself the question and everytime I answered myself that Yes, it is worth it. But guess what, I was fooled. By myself.

It took me bruises both mentally and physically to realise that I was chasing my own tail. Something I could never get hold of. No, I'm not a B*tch. But I do have a tail. We all have a tail. A tail which we think belongs to us. A tail which becomes a necessity for us. A tail which becomes a part of our identity. We chase that tail. We chase for that tail. But there is life without that tail. We just don't know it until someone comes and cuts it for us.

It bleeds. It does bleed where it has been cut. But there are certain factors in our blood which helps it to clot and prevent further bleeding. These factors are the control we have on ourselves and more importantly our brain. Its not by nature that the bleeding stops, it stops when we want it to.

I realised I couldn't let myself bleed. I couldn't let the tail that meant nothing to my life in reality harm me. I saved myself. I was my own Saviour.

I had given myself, a Second Chance.
